Ticketmaster Breach: 30,000 Free Tickets Released

Pietro Melillo : 8 July 2024 13:07

After claiming to have stolen 170,000 tickets for Taylor Swift’s ERAS Tour, the hacker group Sp1d3rHunters today announced they have distributed over 30,000 more tickets for high-profile events.

The allegedly leaked tickets today include events for:

  • P!NK: Summer Carnival 2024 (various cities)
  • Aerosmith: PEACE OUT The Farewell Tour (over 10 cities)
  • Chris Brown: The 11:11 Tour • Neil Young with Crazy Horse: Love Earth Tour on July 8
  • Alanis Morissette: The Triple Moon Tour on July 13
  • Red Hot Chili Peppers: Unlimited Love Tour on July 17
  • Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band: 2024 Tour
  • USHER: Past Present Future
  • Pearl Jam
  • Sammy Hagar
  • Stevie Nicks
  • Steve Miller Band
  • Cirque du Soleil

Sp1d3rHunters, known for their illicit activities in the cybercrime world, posted a detailed message on a dark forum claiming they had breached Ticketmaster’s security. Reportedly, the flaw exploited by the hacker group allows them to print physical tickets (Ticketfast, e-tickets, and tickets sent via mail) which, unlike Ticketmaster’s dynamic electronic tickets, cannot be automatically updated.

Current Situation and Authenticity of the Breach

At present, we cannot precisely confirm the authenticity of the breach, as Ticketmaster has not yet released an official statement on their website regarding the incident. However, the scope of Sp1d3rHunters’ claims and the potential damage to the mentioned events make this news particularly concerning.

Implications and Next Steps

If the claims prove true, Ticketmaster will face a huge task in restoring the security of its tickets and protecting its customers from potential fraud. Emergency measures are likely to be adopted to invalidate the leaked tickets and issue new ones.

Conclusions

Although there are no official confirmations yet, the possibility of a breach of this magnitude raises serious concerns about Ticketmaster’s systems’ security. We urge readers to stay updated and regularly check Ticketmaster’s website for any official announcements.

Note: This article should be considered as an intelligence source and not as confirmed information.

We await further developments and confirmations from Ticketmaster and the event organizers involved.
