USER-LEVEL MITIGATIONS
When using platforms in ex-temporaneous hands or for registrations such as those required by Bol d’Air we recommend :
- Use an email protection service (such as the one offered by DuckDuckGo) to enter a “decoy” email address that is different from your original email address. Alternatively, you can enter a secondary email address that is not connected to your work, personal, or daily activities.
- Avoid using your real name and other personal information unless it is strictly necessary and/or required.
- Do not reuse passwords that you have already used for other accounts. Obviously, follow standard password guidelines for each password.
- Do not underestimate the publication of data like this. Any piece of information about a person can be used for targeted attacks or identity theft.
